It is only when I believe that Father God loves me that I am transformed; that is not to believe it in my head but in my heart. It is his love in my heart that softens it to others. it is his love in my heart that can transform my marriage; my church life in fact my whole life. That is every part of my life.
Yet, as a man, I sometimes feel afraid of love. Men sometimes believe that to be in love is to be soft. The trouble is marriages suffer; churches suffer and our entire life suffers. There is a fear in Christian men of being soft. We sometimes feel that we need to be macho and unloving. This is a lie from the enemy.
Jesus was a real man he didn’t have to be macho; he didn’t hide his feelings; he had a real personal relationship with Father God.
Today I am going to be a real man; that is not being macho; not hiding my feelings; telling my wife I really do love her and develop a loving relationship with Father God.
Are there any other men willing to stand up and take their place today?
