From dark thoughts into Light

Adam and Eve ate the fruit from the wrong tree; they were asked not to eat from the tree by Father God. The serpent had deceived them, the trouble with eating the wrong fruit is the seed.

A seed will reproduce if the conditions are perfect for it to do so. Conditions were perfect in the garden that Father God created. When I eat fruit I have the option to plant the seed; if planted it will grow and reproduce through time.

It always produces the same kind. If I plant grape seed I will end up with grapes, through time I will have a vineyard of grapes.

Sometimes I have a dark thought like ‘I am no good at gardening’. I dwell on that thought then continue to examine myself, I can end up thinking that I am good at very little. The thought I had of ‘ not being good at gardening’ has reproduced and now I am no good at lots of things.

I need to uproot the negative thoughts, or seed, and plant new seed. If I list the things that I am good at then, when the thought reproduces, I will be good at lots of things.

I can’t focus on the good things and still dwell on the negative, or dark, thoughts.

Today I will focus on the thought ‘I am the apple of my Father’s eye’.

What are you going to think about today?

Try to focus on a positive statement about yourself in the bible.

About cleavinghearts

I go to church in Troon Scotland. I want to see men from every nation rise up in Christ and be who they are called to be. I am interested in men getting together to praise and just do men's things. I also want to see women rise above their pain and turmoil so they are free to follow Jesus without the hindrances of their past.

  2. Great idea and illustration. How about, “I draw near to God, and He draws near to me”? (James 4:8)
