The old has gone

When I wake up into a new day I sometimes have a sense of hope. The hope comes from the fact that the night is over. It is as if Father God has reached into the place of my deepest pain and began to heal my wound.

The wound has stopped me from total surrender to Jesus, it has been the thing that has driven me away from His love. It has caused me to feel a sense of guilt, shame and to feel as if I am not good enough to be loved.

Jesus came down from heaven to earth and accepted the cross. When He was on the cross he took my guilt, shame and sin there with Him. It is the price that had to be paid to restore relationship between the Father and me.

It is the cross that brings healing to my wound.

In Christ Jesus I have become a new creation. The old has gone the new is here. I no longer need to be governed by the wound I am now governed by the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.

It is living for Jesus  that sets me free.

If the Son has set you free you will be free indeed.

Today I choose to leave my wound at the cross. I choose to fully surrender to Jesus.

Will you leave your wound at the cross today?

Will you fully surrender to Jesus today?

About cleavinghearts

I go to church in Troon Scotland. I want to see men from every nation rise up in Christ and be who they are called to be. I am interested in men getting together to praise and just do men's things. I also want to see women rise above their pain and turmoil so they are free to follow Jesus without the hindrances of their past.
