Letting go of the broken glass

Trials at times seem to come more often than the mountain top times. These always seem to leave us feeling as if we have blown it.

The reason they make us feel like this is because we are going through a time of learning. We are learning that we can walk hand and hand with God and let go of the things that cause us pain.

When we hold onto pain we are always going through the memories of how we received the pain, maybe not consciously, we relive it in our heads and reopen the wounds. We need to let it go.

It is like holding a piece of broken glass in our hand, which has already cut into our hand, and squeezing it tighter every few days. We are so used to the pain we live as if we had no pain.

Father God has to wrestle with us to get us to let go of the broken glass. We are so used to holding it that when it is taken from us we feel insecure. Therefore we internally fight to keep a hold of it.

Father God fights to get the glass from us because of the pain and damage it is causing our inner self. He wrestles with us in order to set us free.

I believe this is the reason for some of our trials.

Today I choose to open my hand and let Father God take the broken glass away. I choose to let Him near my wound in order to bring healing.

Will you let go of your broken glass today?

Will you hand your pain to Jesus?

About cleavinghearts

I go to church in Troon Scotland. I want to see men from every nation rise up in Christ and be who they are called to be. I am interested in men getting together to praise and just do men's things. I also want to see women rise above their pain and turmoil so they are free to follow Jesus without the hindrances of their past.
