Overcoming

Hi today I am an Overcomer.

Today I have been set free. It is Jesus who rules and reigns in my life. I love him with all my heart. It grieves me when I look and struggle with certain attitudes. I am still working through many of the deepest strongholds of my mind.

I can now chose what to think when I identify a stronghold. I chose daily to focus on Jesus and his ways when my thinking becomes stinking. That for me is the real me.

I have been sharing what my life was like as an Alcoholic and all its dark thinking. That’s not the real me; that’s not who Jesus created. That’s why today I think about Jesus when the old thoughts try and fill my mind.

Its not always been easy but when  I have went through a few days of this my attitudes become more Christ like.

I have no doubt that Jesus loves me very deeply. When I look back at the darkness all I find now is light in my life. I tried searching for Jesus in so many ways but it was Him who found me.

Today I continue to take every thought captive.

Today I pray everyday even when it is a struggle.

Today I walk in His ways.

Today I am an Overcomer.

I go to church in Troon Scotland. I want to see men from every nation rise up in Christ and be who they are called to be. I am interested in men getting together to praise and just do men's things. I also want to see women rise above their pain and turmoil so they are free to follow Jesus without the hindrances of their past.

    Whenever I have doubts about who I am in Christ, I remind myself of the following truth: “God is more interested in my future with Him than in my past without Him.”

    Amen Debbie. Your past without Him is exactly that past. The doubts come when we struggle with past hurts that we hold on to. I had to learn to hand the to Jesus and NOT pick them up again. Thanks for your comment. Bless You. Richard

    As we know Cleavinghearts we are under Grace as we Aim to be Perfected in Love (Matthew 5:48 – Hebrews 6:1-Philippians 3:14-16 -2Timothy 3:17-1John 4:16-19- 1John 2:4-6- 2Corinthians 13:11) putting and our Carnal flesh is put to death by The Spirit (Romans 8 :12-15- Romans 6 -Colossians 3:4-6 -Galatians 5:24 -26)

    How wonderful that God knows us as His own even before we are conceived and not one of us will be lost but we do have to work out our Salvation but not meaning work for it, we show we have it as we aim to be perfected in Love being careful to seek Jesus not the things of this world to Help us on our Journey and yes as you have shared before and it is confirmed in Scripture, we never walk alone He is there with us.

    Isaiah 43:1-3 – Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by Name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression you will not be burned up the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”

    Jeremiah 29 :11-12 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you says the LORD, Thoughts of Peace and not of evil to give you a Future and a Hope.

    Lamentations 3: 33 For God doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the Children of Men.
